WHAT HAPPENED?
Marseille have posted a photo of Greenwood returning to training as the club prepare for the 2025/26 season. He has linked up with new signing Angel Gomes, as well as former Brighton striker Neal Maupay, as the club look to improve on last season's second-placed finish.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Greenwood scored 21 league goals last season as Marseille finished runners-up, but he will aim to go one better with Roberto De Zerbi's side. The club ultimately finished 19 points behind PSG and need to find a way to close that gap if they want to win their first title since 2010.

DID YOU KNOW?
Greenwood will continue to work with the non-international group at Marseille in pre-season training before their internationals return next week. De Zerbi is also expected to return to training next Tuesday.

Marseille face Girona on July 26 and then Valencia three days later. They also play Sevilla and Aston Villa in pre-season before the Ligue 1 season kicks off in mid-August.
